Undead is a recurring monster class in the Disgaea series first introduced in Disgaea: Hour of Darkness.

Gameplay
Undead are frequently one of the more common and weaker monsters in the game, aside from the final Zombie King tier. Zombies generally have low defense and high HP.

Undead are one of the first enemies encountered, and thus one of the first creatable monsters. The demon Aramis keeps many as pets, which Laharl is forced to find in the episode Of Being an Overlord. The "Ultimate Zombie" with its unique items that appears in that chapter has also become an infamous gag within the fandom.

Occasionally, Undead will appear as enemies on certain stages. A zombie named Bok Choy, who runs the Demon Sea Casino, can be fought as a boss if the player plays the level first. Some are found when battling Anise the Cat Witch.
