Sleep is one of the Status Ailments that can be inflicted on characters.
Description[]
It's represented by several yellow "Z"s floating above the character's head. Units affected by it are completely unable to act or move (though you can still change the direction they're looking towards). Attacks against a sleeping unit are always Critical Hits and don't trigger counters, but will cure the ailment immediately. From Disgaea 5 onward, sleeping units also cannot evade attacks.
Specialists[]
Two Specialists deal with the Sleep ailment:
- Having a Coffee Maker on any equipment increases a character's resistance to the Sleep status by 1% per level.
- Having a Hypnotist on any equipment gives a character's normal attacks a chance to inflict Sleep by 1% per level.
