Resistance, abbreviated as RES, is a recurring statistic in the Disgaea series. It reduces the damage a character will take from a magical attack as well as determining the power of Healing spells. (Higher RES = More HP recovered with Healing spells.) The Physician Specialist increases this stat, as does equipping orbs and certain armor and weapons.
