Prinny Costume, also known as the Prinny Suit and Prinny Outfit, is a recurring accessory in the Disgaea series. It generally increases a character's HP, DEF and RES greatly. It is usually obtained from Baal, in his Prinny form or his Eryngi form in Disgaea 3. It is a spare Prinny hide, usually used by Baal to take the form of a Prinny.
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness
In Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, the Prinny Costume is found equipped to Uber Prinny, being the source of its high HP, DEF and RES. Like the Nemesis Mk.II, it is already level 100 when stolen from Prinny Baal. It provides a tremendous boost to HP, DEF and RES making this one of the best accessories in the game. The Prinny Costume has an HP stat of 45,100, a DEF stat of 22,600, and a RES stat of 22,600 at Level 100. There are only a few accessories which outperform its stats such as the Super Robo Suit and the Galactic Muscle. It is renamed the "Prinny Outfit" on Disgaea: DS.
Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories
In Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories, the Prinny Suit is equipped to Prinny Baal like in Hour of Darkness. It provides an HP stat of 7500 and a DEF and RES stat of 3750. Its defensive stats are not the best, for items like the Super Robo Suit and Cosmos Muscle provide greater boosts in HP and DEF. It can only be stolen from Prinny Baal like in Hour of Darkness.
Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice
In Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice, the Prinny Suit can be obtained after defeating Eryngi Baal for the first time. It is less useful due to the fact that DEF or RES does not provide enough protection from enemy's boosted skills. There are more favorable options such as the Trapezohedron which boosts all stats for a great amount.
Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten
In Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten, the Prinny Suit is found equipped from Pringer X rather than Baal. It can be stolen from Pringer X along with other useful items like the Satan's Force. Like Disgaea 3, the Prinny Suit is less useful due to the reduced effectiveness of the DEF and RES stat in Disgaea 3 and Disgaea 4. Due to the presence of items like the Trapezohedron, the Prinny Suit is usually passed aside for better items such as the Trapezohedron. It provides the same stats boosts as it did in Disgaea 2. It still has 7500 HP, 3750 DEF and RES.
Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness
In Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness, the Prinny Suit can be found equipped to Pringer X like in Disgaea 4. Like all other equipment, the Prinny Suit has reduced stats in comparison to Disgaea 3 and Disgaea 4, having 5000 in HP and 2500 in DEF and RES.
