Every Monster has their own way of attacking, regardless of weapon.
Monster Weapons are a type of Weapon in the Disgaea series. As the name suggests, they can only be equipped by Monsters. They come in 2 types: the Physical Monster Weapon, which increases ATK and HIT, and the
Magical Monster Weapon, which increases INT and ATK(later reworked to INT and RES). There's no weapon skills for Monster Weapons, and have good attack power but lack any notable secondary effects. Unlike most weapons, they are not visible in the wielder's sprite.
Monster Weapons do not appear in Disgaea 6, where Monsters can equip Humanoid weapons instead.
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness[]
This game featured only one type of Monster Weapon which only increased ATK, severely limiting Monster classes' options.
There's two unique Monster Weapons that were listed as ranks 41 and 42, going beyond the usual 40 rank barrier. The two items could only be stolen from Baal and Prinny Baal, respectively.
Rather than gaining a stat multiplier from Weapon Mastery, Monster Weapons instead gain a stat multiplier from the Level of the Monster using them, starting at level 100.

Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories[]
