Longinus is a talking spear that lives in the Overlord's Castle, in Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. He has a vast knowledge about weapons in the game. In actual fact, he is King Krichevskoy's famed weapon.
Longinus is the rank 39 spear weapon in the game. He can be obtained by having a character with a spear mastery level of 25 or higher , entering the Dark Assembly, and then exiting to talk to Longinus. The player will then receive a Legendary Longinus.
Lower quality versions of the spear can also be attained as bonus items.
Etymology
- Longinus' name is a reference to the lance that pierced the side of Jesus Christ, according to the Bible. The lance is also known as the Spear of Destiny, the Spear of Longinus (the Roman soldier who wielded it), along with various variations of those names including the Holy Lance.
