List of obtainable endings in Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten.
Main Story Endings[]
Normal Ending[]
Condition: Beat the regular version of stage 10-7.
Having defeated Fear the Great, Valvatorez boasts to God about the power of the party's camaraderie. However a moment later Valvatorez is enveloped by a mysterious energy and disappears, much to the surprise of his allies. He has been transported to an unknown space by God, who agrees to postpone the extinction of humans but insists that Nemo must be eliminated. God also praises Valvatorez for defeating Fear the Great, but warns him to stop interfering. Valvatorez retorts that God is the one that needs to stop interfering with them, as they are the ones who decide the fate of their own world, and then unleashes a single powerful attack on God while warning that he won't go easy next time. Valvatorez is promptly returned to the side of his companions.
After Valvatorez returns, Nemo is released from God's control. Having been shown the power of trust, he decides to believe in the world once more and accepts the offer to become a Prinny to pay for his sins, no matter how long it takes. After some encouragement from the party, Emizel proceeds to reap Nemo's soul, which leaves the scene as Valvatorez reassures that they'll soon meet again in Hades.
God Ending[]
Condition: Beat the alternative version of stage 10-7.
Having defeated the Parts of God, Valvatorez boasts to God about the power of the party's camaraderie. As the Parts of God start to vanish, he taunts them to tell God to come and try fighting the party himself next time.
Having been shown the power of trust, Nemo decides to believe in the world once more and accepts the offer to become a Prinny to pay for his sins, no matter how long it takes. After some encouragement from the party, Emizel proceeds to reap Nemo's soul, which leaves the scene as Valvatorez reassures that they'll soon meet again in Hades.
After the credits, it's explained that God branded the Hades Party as heretics, and the Earth was burned to the ground along with the Netherworld. On top of that, the party is now being hunted by 8 million Gods and have to wage constant battle against them.
Extra Endings[]
Emizel Ending[]
Condition: Lose to Emizel in Episode 1 or 2.
Emizel has managed to stop the Hades Party and demands to be treated with respect. The narration then explains that with newfound confidence from his victory, Emizel proceeded to imprison all rebels and exterminate the Prinnies. As he gained more power he even established his own secret police, however the rise of an opposing faction and the battle against them would end up destroying the Netherworld in only a few years.
Fuka Ending[]
Condition: Lose to Fuka in Episode 2.
Fuka has defeated Valvatorez and is free to do whatever she wants with the world. The narration explains that the Netherworld ended up filled with flowers, desserts and glamorous demons. The corrupternment tried to stop her to no avail, and the Netherworld eventually ended up destroyed.
Desco Ending[]
Condition: Lose to Desco in Episode 3.
Desco has defeated the party but Fuka still doesn't respect her as a sister nor as a final boss as she expected, so Desco decides that she needs to destroy even more things to impress her. Fuka refuses to change her mind and tells Desco that she can just destroy everything. The narration explains that the corrupternment tried to stop Desco, but she destroyed everything that was sent after her and burned down the Netherworld. The corrupternment then decided to grant Fuka a bunch of gifts and favors in return for accepting Desco, which finally stopped her rampage.
Vulcanus Ending[]
Condition: Lose to Vulcanus in Episode 5.
Vulcanus has defeated the party, so now they have to pay her 10 million HL. As the party does not have the necessary money, she offers them to work for her and help her in her collection duties. The narration wonders about the mysterious objective for Vulcanus' money collection, and we're briefly shown a scene of Archangel Flonne in front of a giant robot built to her image.
Axel Ending[]
Condition: Lose to Axel in Episode 6.
Axel has defeated the party, and now even Valvatorez is starting to transform. Now that everyone has become Axel (except Artina, who promptly escapes), they start trying to take over the world. The narration explains that most of the Netherworld was turned into Axel and they established their own world order. The Axels eventually started a fight to determine which one is the most good looking, during which even the corrupternment ended up infected and the Netherworld reached its end.
Epilogues[]
This section of the article is a stub. Please help the Disgaea Wiki by expanding it, so it won't stay a little shrimp like Laharl. If the player gets the Normal Ending, an additional epilogue scene between Valvatorez and another party member will be played. Which epilogue plays out depends on relationships established with Valvatorez at the Legendary Tree. If multiple relationships are set, the epilogue listed earlier takes priority.
