The Hospital is a recurring feature in the Disgaea series. Here, the player can heal and/or revive any of their characters, for a fee. The Hospital contains a number of counters which measure the amount of HP and SP restored, and characters revived. When the counters reach certain levels, the Hospital will allow the player to redeem rare items by selecting "Claim Prize". If you leave the Hospital without claiming your prize or choose to reenter the healing menu, you can reenter the Prize menu repeatedly until a Rare version is generated. These items will never be generated as Legendary in rank.

Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice
Similar to the other Disgaea titles, the Hospital will still give you free rewards when you recover a certain amount of HP/SP or when you revive dead characters.
New to Disgaea 3 are the possibility to get legendary items but are only possible if you have passed the Nursing Club topic in the Homeroom and assigned someone to it.
