Giant Units is a game system introduced in Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten. The effects and conditions to use these units varies per game.

Giant Monster Disgaea 4

The result of a Monster Fusion.

Monster Fusion makes a Monster become Giant (among various other bonuses), though there are a few enemies that are Giant by default. A Giant unit occupies 5 panels (cross-shaped area) on the map, and if the non-center panels of their body overlap someone else as they move that unit will be pushed away.

Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance[]

Giant is a buff that can be applied to any unit, increasing Max HP and SP by 100% (also healing by the amount gained), and increasing stats by 30%. A Giant unit can't use Unique or Weapon skills, but they gain the exclusive Giant Press skill.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny[]

Some classes are Giant by default, and their body occupies 5 spaces in a cross-shaped area. Their normal attack hits in an area and doesn't affect allies, but its range can't be increased.

The playable Giant classes are Dragon, Pincer Shell and Horseman. The recurring enemy God of Destruction is also Giant.
