The Gargoyle is a recurring monster class in the Disgaea series first introduced in Disgaea: Hour of Darkness.

Characteristics[]
The gargoyles were created thousands of years ago by wizards to use as guards. They have a natural urge to guard places and things. They can stay at their post for centuries at at time even after the person they were ordered by has elapsed. Their lack of legs requires them to use their wings to move, and their lack of wings make short range movement a serious problem. These creatures were not created with movement abilities in mind.
