Dark Mao is a character in Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice. One of Mao's Heart residents, like "Saucy Mao", "Savvy Mao", "True Heart Mao" and "Mao Who Says Dad".
Story[]
Dark Mao is Mao's pure evil essence embodied into a Heart Resident. Dark Mao was being secretly raised by Aurum during his time as Geoffrey to help turn Mao into the "Strongest Overlord". He appears as an NPC when Mao is inside his Heart World. Later, after Almaz dies, Dark Mao appears and challenges Mao for supremacy over Mao's body. Dark Mao is defeated and forced back inside Mao. Should the player get the Bad Ending however, Dark Mao takes over Mao's body, gaining a very large amount of power in the process for unknown reasons, and goes on a rampage destroying everything in his path.
