Artwork of the Beastmaster for Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories.

The Beastmaster is a recurring humanoid class in the Disgaea series first introduced in Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

The Beastmaster are female feral like humanoid characters. They have spiky hair, a strange top that stretches into suspenders for baggy pants, fake claws as shoulder pads, and a tail. They wear skimpy clothing which reveals a bra and pair of panties.

In their default coloration, they have a light skin tone, red hair, pants, and bands, brown shoes, black panties, and a black bra. They have a green bra cover in Disgaea 2 and Disgaea 3, which is not consistent with the artwork for the class even from Disgaea 2, and was changed into the blue color seen in the artwork starting in Disgaea 4.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

The Beastmasters are a first class breeder group specializing in training demonic beasts. They take pride in their skills and unmatched knowledge of beasts, which they use to breed the greatest demon ever. They are wild and harsh due to living among the beasts far from civilization, and thus are cautious and distrustful of other people. However, if a person gains their trust, they will follow them forever.

Unusually for a humanoid, they have a tail, though it is unknown if the tail they have is an extension of their body or in fact a clothing item.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

They are units specializing in enhancing monster class units. Generally, they have an inherent ability to boost the stats of adjacent monsters by 20%. They also learn Special Techniques which allow them to assist monster units as well, for example learning the Wild Groom spell which boosts experience gain as well as mana gain by at least 50%. In general, they are a good fit for players who intend to use monsters in their party, and are easily skippable for players who do not intend to use monsters at all.
